Koitaleel Samoei University College hosted a tree planting exercise on Saturday 26th 2020 graced by the Principal Secretary (PS) for environment Dr. Chris Kiptoo, where over four thousand seedlings were planted at the proposed Nandi hills main campus site.

Principal Secretary (PS) Dr. Chris Kiptoo called for the need to conserve environment by planting trees and He congratulated Koitaleel Samoei University for being in the front line in environment conservation. In his speech he said that the Ministry targets to plant about 1.9 billion trees by the year 2020.He also reiterated on the need to have all the tree nurseries in Kenya to be registered.

Koitaleel Samoei Ag. Principal Prof Misoi invited all other guests and stakeholders including Nandi county Government represented by Her Excellency the Deputy Governor Dr. Yulita Cheruiyot Member of National Assembly for Nandi Hills constituency Hon. Alfred Keter, Kenya Water Towers Agency, Kenya Commercial Bank. Also promised that the University will partner with the Kenya Water Tower Agency to see that all the catchment areas are conserved. Ag Principal also applauded all the guests for attending such important occasion in the calendar of the Koitaleel Samoei University.
