Koitaleel Samoei University College played host to the mentor University of Nairobi's Deans of Faculties of Business and Management Sciences, Arts and Education and the Director of Finance.

The delegation was received by the Ag. Deputy Principal Prof. Winston Akala and members of the College Academic and Management Boards.

Areas of mentorship included Financial Management and Austerity Measures in Universities which was well covered by the UoN's Director of Finance CPA Damaris Kavoi. In her presentation, CPA Kavoi outlined the strategies that the UoN have adopted to ensure prudent management of scarce resources as a result of strained capitation and the uncertain Covid-19 era.

Professors S. Gunga, J. Maalu and E. Wahome shared their wealth of experience in successfully managing their various faculties before, during and after the reforms adopted by the UoN Council sometime in mid-2021. Their focus areas covered teaching procedures and staff workload, examinations procedures and the roles of various officers in the faculties. They also shared list of courses in their respective fuculties and how they have successfully attracted high number of students in those courses. They inspired KSUC to customize various courses to meet the customer needs.

In his closing remarks, Prof Akala reiterated KSUC's commitment to offering world class services by continuously picking the best practices from the UoN. He further appreciated the mentorship by the distinguished UoN staff encouraged KSUC staff to continuously engage with complementary Departments in the UoN for mentorship and support.
