KSUC and Hawks Hockey inspects the field

KSUC meeting with Hawks Hockey team from Nandi County




Koitaleel Samoei University College on Thursday agreed to join in support with the Nandi Hawks Hockey Team in its increasing efforts to nurture talent within and beyond the surrounding community.
While engaging with the players, Ms. Emily Sigot, the university Games Tutor encouraged the players to be role models to the community through Hockey.

“As a university we take our responsibility to the surrounding community quite seriously. We are therefore willing to join hands with the Nandi Hawks through allowing them to utilize our facilities.” said Ms. Sigot.

She also mentioned that the university is willing to offer one of the fields to be used by the Nandi Hawks Team as their Home pitch during League matches in the national league which they are a part of. Tournaments being hosted by the team will also be held within the university.

Emmanuel Cheruiyot, the team leader of Nandi Hawks expressed his excitement at the support being extended by the university.
“We are thankful to the University for believing in us and helping to make our dreams in hockey come true.” Emmanuel remarked, “We look forward to training together with the university team students. There is a lot they can learn from us while we interact in the field. The future is bright for both of us.”

Koitaleel Samoei University College targets the developing of talent for sustainable development through different avenues. Nandi Hawks are a registered club based in Kapsabet Town. They participate in the Kenya National Hockey League where they represent Nandi County
