Koitaleel Samoei University College hosted the University of the Nairobi Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama on Friday, October 8, 2021, who addressed the first year 2021/2022 cohort.

In his address, he called upon the students to be creative and innovative in all aspects as they pursue their scholarly excellence by attending lectures, engaging in intellectual conversations, and even acquire knowledge digitally, since the university has invested a lot in Technology. The Vice-Chancellor encouraged students to utilize the library services that offer quality reading materials which are linked to the University of Nairobi E-resources (e-books and e-journals) where students can readily access digital content to enhance intellectual development.

Koitaleel Samoei University College having identified sports as its niche, the Vice-Chancellor urged the students to fully engage themselves in extra curriculum activities which are also important for physical growth. Collaborating with their various faculties in identifying, nurturing, and deploying their talents add value to them.

The Vice-Chancellor recognized the management for creating a conducive environment set to nurture talent for sustainable development which is in line with the university vision. He reminded them to follow all COVID -19protocols.

Present during the address were, Nandi County CEC Member In-charge of Education Ms. Grace Sugut representing the Nandi County Governor, Chesumei Deputy County Commissioner Ms. Diana Wekesa, Distinguished Sports Scholar Prof. Mike Boit, the university management, staff, students among other guests.
