World and Olympic Champion Conseslus Kipruto has offered support to Koitaleel Samoei University College in enhancing the Sporting facilities in Mosoriot Campus. This came after the Champion paid a courtesy call to the Principal, Prof. Jackson Too, to assess the state of the sporting facilities in the College.

Conseslus, who among other athletes have been training in the facility, was eager to support a few initiatives such improvement of the athletic track and the football pitch. He also committed to engaging with national and international partners in enhancing the sports facilities in the college to international standards. He revealed that he has trained in the facilities for his entire career and has no plans of relocating to any other training location.

During the tour around the facilities, the Principal detailed the plans that the University has towards improving the sports facilities and challenges being faced in the process. The College has identified Sports Science and Management as a niche and seeks to roll out short courses and trainings for the sporting community. This therefore calls for improved sporting infrastructure so as to enable the college live by its vision of nurturing talent for sustainable development.

The College has played a central role in hosting major sporting events in Nandi County and has also hosted tens of athletes as a training ground. Enhancement of these facilities will not only provide better training grounds for the upcoming champions but also attract important national and international events. Nearness to Eldoret International Airport makes the College an ideal location for identification as major sporting destination in Kenya. The Principal called on other potential partners and sponsors to reach out in this noble course of transformation.
