Last week was full of activities ranging from community service, sporting to lots of fun and being a brother’s keeper as the KSUC Pioneer Undergraduate Class nears completion of their undergraduate studies.
The team came together to venture into an ambitious week of activities that saw them lead the rest of the students in participating in a general clean-up exercise in Mosoriot on Monday the May 1st. The coincidence of the day being a Labour Day marinated it all. The team was joined by staff and the local administration in the exercise.
KSUC being an ambient environment, the team chose to leave their legacies of beauty by planting more indigenous trees around the College on Tuesday May 2nd of 2023.
Wednesday was a sporting day where the Pioneer Class competed in various disciplines against the rest of the students. This was in the spirit of nurturing talent for sustainable development.
Friday May 5th, was a Pioneers’ Night that featured all sorts of entertainment, party and storytelling with the participants recounting their amazing stay in KSUC.
Community service was at its peak on Saturday when the team paid a visit to Kisaget Children’s Home to spread the KSUC love to the ever jovial kids.
An extension of the philanthropy and loved summed up the activities on Sunday when they led a service that sought to raise funds for their colleagues from humble backgrounds that were struggling to pay their fees.
This group of the initial 55 students have been outstanding and phenomenal to say the least.. We shall be featuring some of them in the coming week to check on their experience in KSUC. Stay tuned.
