Koitaleel Samoei University College renowned for its commitment to holistic education, held a special certificate award ceremony on the 31st of May 2023 to honor and appreciate the active finalist students in various sporting disciplines.
Courtesy of the Sports Department, the event was organized to recognize the remarkable achievements and dedication of the finalist students who have brought pride and recognition to the university.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to the deserving students. The certificates were presented by Prof Josephat Lishenga, the Director School of Business on behalf of the University Management. He emphasized on the importance of sports in a student’s overall development. He highlighted the positive impact of sports on physical and mental health, as well as the valuable life skills that can be learned through participation in various sporting activities. He further espoused the commitment of the College Management in empowering the KSUC sporting community.
According to the Head of the Sports Department Mrs. Emily Sigot, this was a moment to honor the students’ passion, perseverance, and discipline, which did not only bring accolades to the university but also inspired and motivated their peers. She committed to having this as culture as KSUC strive to nurture talent for sustainable development.
Among other staff present was the Public Relations Officer Mr. Kipsaro Boit who emphasized the importance of striking a balance between academics and extracurricular activities, encouraging all students to explore their interests and talents outside of the classroom.
The brief eremony was an occasion of pride, celebration, and recognition. It served as a reminder of the university’s commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals who excel not only in academics but also in sports and other extracurricular pursuits.
