MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

Welcome to the Department of Business Administration and Management Science, School of Business, Koitaleel Samoei University College (A constituent College of the University of Nairobi). The Department of Business Administration and Management Science is one of the two departments in the School of Business. The department was started in the year, 2021. The Department is focused in training specialized courses from Diploma level to the PhD level. These programmes are constantly reviewed to reflect the ever changing dynamic business environment.  Our goal is to graduate competent and ethical business professionals who will contribute to national economic development goals and pursue advanced studies in Business management and other related fields.

Students in the Department of Business Administration and Management Science are trained in multi-disciplinary areas including operations management, supply chain management, management information systems (MIS), project management, Insurance, Marketing, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Strategic Management. We also have the school-wide programmes in Bcom, MBA and PhD in Business Administration programmes which largely cut across all the departments of the School of Business.

The Department aims to equip and develop the professional competence of students, individual employees and policy makers with sound business principles and analytical competence in order to be able to identify and accurately define managerial problems, obtain, organize, and interpret relevant data/information and be able to select and implement decisions efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.
