DIRECTORATE OF THE BOARD OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

The Directorate of the Board of Postgraduate Studies is committed to ensuring that the postgraduate programmes offered by the University are of the highest quality and that all processes conform to the standards and guidelines set by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
Postgraduate programmes at Koitaleel Samoei University College have grown steadily over the years, and the University anticipates launching PhD programmes in both the School of Education and the School of Business. Currently, the University has two schools with strong postgraduate research teams in various disciplines, including Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance, Accounting, Linguistics, Curriculum Studies, among others.
The Directorate is responsible for overseeing the enrolment and admission of postgraduate students by ensuring that the postgraduate admissions policy is strictly adhered to. It also ensures the implementation of policies and procedures relating to student withdrawal, interruption of studies, and additional examination arrangements.
The Board of Postgraduate Studies is responsible for monitoring Master’s and PhD programmes, conducting departmental precept reviews, periodic programme reviews, and any other quality assurance reviews initiated by the University or external regulatory bodies. The Board also provides oversight of postgraduate teaching, research supervision, and administration. In addition, it is responsible for budgeting for postgraduate teaching and ensuring that the necessary teaching and research resources are available.
Furthermore, the Board liaises with collaborative partners, industry partners, and sponsors to support postgraduate programmes and students. It also plays a key role in advising, mentoring, and supporting both academic staff and postgraduate students throughout their academic and research journey.
